APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRESSURE SENSITIVE VINYL |
|
PREP SURFACE This is the most important step!! Be certain the surface of the substrate is smooth, clean and lint-free before positioning the vinyl graphic. Wax, oils, and other surface imperfections may greatly affect the longevity and adhesion of the sticker. Isopropyl alcohol is recommended for cleaning, as it will not leave a film behind as ammonia based cleaners can. You should never apply stickers to items that have been sitting out in the hot sun. Ideal application temperature is in the 70 degree F. range. |

REMOVE PAPER CARRIER & POSITION GRAPHIC Gently "roll" the carrier off the back of the vinyl, rather than by trying to lift the vinyl with the Pre-Mask. Do not remove the paper carrier until ready to apply to substrate. Be sure not to allow your fingers to touch the sticker backing. Position the graphic and smooth out any air bubbles with your fingers, from the center of the design out. For larger graphics, or where exact placement is extremely important, try taping the design in place at the top. This will create a hinge and the carrier paper rolled back from top to bottom. Check here for an example. |

REMOVE PRE-MASK AND FINISH APPLICATION Once graphic is positioned as desired, remove the Pre-Mask tape and repeat pressing of graphic, from center of design out, with fingers. If air bubbles remain, simply puncture with small straight pin and press out with fingers. |
